The Cross-Border Privacy Rules (CBPR) system is a privacy framework adopted by several countries of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC). Searchness is not currently APEC CBPR certified. However we are fully compliant with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
While both the APEC CBPR and the GDPR have their roots in the nine privacy principles suggested by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 1980, the european regulation has evolved to have more stringent privacy requirements.
